Get Answers about Antique Dining Furniture(Ask a New Question)Featured Questions on CoolAntiqueDining.comWe recently got a much bigger set of living room furniture. We have a lot of guest so seating was a must. The main problem with that is there is no more room for our upright piano anymore. It's a nice antique piece that my husband loves so I would really like to put it in one of our more public rooms. The only other place I can think of is in the dining room. Is that weird to have a piano in a casual dining area? I would really like to keep it casual but worry that it'll look out of place. Any ideas on how to keep it casual yet incorporate the piano. Thanks!
My husband plays the piano and I can play a little. We have owned it for a while now and it's really special to my husband as it's been passed down for generations. At first I thought about selling it but it really is nice.

I have a matching antique dining set and I want to identify the style/period of the furniture. The back of the chairs is similar to Queen Anne however, the legs are turned and straight (plumb from the corner of the seat to the floor) not carved or cabriolet. There is a lot of detail in the turning (wide, narrow, beads above globe and urn shapes with concave cutouts running vertically to the leg). The top of the legs are square as is the point where the cross bracing attaches to the leg. Sorry I am not familiar with antique terminology. Can anyone identify this style (I can provide photos) or point me to an easy to use visual reference?

We just bought a new house that is considerably larger than our current living space. Therefore, we need more furniture to fill it. Does anyone know of any great places to buy discounted, used or antique furniture in the Syracuse area? I am specifically interested in bedroom and dining room furniture. Also, pieces that can be used as storage as well.
